WORSHIP ARTS
AT ASLC
Music is central to our worship
life as a congregation. Our worship utilizes
a wide variety of musical resources to proclaim
the Gospel and engage the people in worship
of our Lord. Our services reflect a fresh, contemporary
musical style.
Average weekend attendance is
approximately 375 people.
Major Holiday worship attendance
is usually well over 700 people.
Currently, over 50 adults and
teenagers are involved in music ministry activities.
Musical activities include:
-an Adult Choir of approximately
15 - 30 singers
-several contemporary worship
teams (using both singers and instrumentalists)
-keyboard (piano & synthesizer)
leadership for worship
-brass ensembles
-occasional solos or small group
"special music" presentations
-occasional Men's and Women's
Choirs
Abiding Savior has been blessed
to have a number of active adult instrumentalists
playing instruments including: keyboards & piano,
guitar, bass, drums, as well as occasional brass
woodwinds and strings. We also have over 20
singers active in leading contemporary worship.
Although we are blessed to have so many active
musicians, we always have room to include others
in this ministry of worship and praise.
A quality sound system and computer
projection systems enhance our worship and help
us to communicate the power of the Gospel. A
technology team assists in using these tools
to enhance worship.
Other worship activities include
lay readers, altar guild, and a "Care Ministry"
team, which is involved with a prayer ministry,
reaching out to newcomers.
