Bachelor of Science-Early Childhood Education, Master of Arts -Educational Administration

Mrs. Montgomery loves kids and enjoys greeting each student by name every morning! Recognizing each child as a unique gift from God, she encourages responsibility and respect, and expects children to work to their God-given potential.

Her favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Mrs. Horvath has many years of experience nurturing young children as they begin their early steps in learning. She uses a hands on approach to learning about our everyday life. She ignites the inquisitiveness of the young learner in all areas of the curriculum.

Mrs. Donnelly strives to prepare each student for future challenges and opportunities. She shares her enthusiasm for learning as well as her love for Christ with her students, helping them grow as children of God.

Mrs. Jean Sims
 

Bachelor of Science—Elementary Education

Mrs. Sims believes that God has created us all differently, equipped with the skills and talents He needs us to have to do His work here on earth.  Her favorite bible verse is Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”  She believes that God has a special plan for all us not matter what our abilities, and she loves helping each child in her classroom discover the strengths with which God has blessed them.

Ms. Halter enjoys helping students learn to use their God given abilities. She feels God has called her into the teaching ministry for that purpose. She especially enjoys teaching children about God's Word through the subject of science.

God creates us all with special talents, desires, and gifts. Mrs. Doering is excited to use her talents to help children explore and be motivated to find the gifts God has given to them, so they can use them to glorify God's name and further His kingdom.

Mr. Schaefer's teaching philosophy includes seeing each child as a unique creation of God blessed with gifts to be developed to serve Him and others. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Mrs. Johnson has been in the classroom, enjoying many different grade levels over the years. She finds great joy actively teaching and involving children in projects throughout each year. Be joyful always, pray continuously, and give thanks in all circumstances. (1st Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Bachelor of Science - Elementary Education, 11 years

Mr. Akerson loves teaching.  It is such a joy to interact and see those "Ah-ha" moments in our classroom.  He also loves to integrate technology and believes that technology can make learning come alive for the students AND the teacher.  While teaching history he also uses a lot of simulations to try to make history come alive.  His favorite bible verse is Isaiah 53:5 - "But he was pierced for our transgressions . . . and by His stripes we are healed." 

8th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Blevins believes that all students have great potential; helping them reach that potential through productive thinking and problem solving is key. She believes in teaching the students responsibility for their work and actions, and that each child should be shown the love of God, and treated with respect.

Teacher Certification-Elementary Education with an emphasis in PE

Mrs. McQueen enjoys working with students to help them develop the gifts the Lord has given them. It's exciting to see them learn life skills and life lessons throughout the sports and activities.

1 Cor 6: 19-20 is the philosophy of the PE program - to keep our bodies healthy because they are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Bachelor of Science-Elementary Education

Mrs. Hageman's goal for the music program is simple: help each student achieve their highest potential while learning all aspects of music. The program combines music theory, history, instruments, vocal technique and even science of sound. The students are having so much fun, they forget how much they are working!
